In the late 00's I made three feature length documentaries on alternative culture. The first one called 'The Workshop' was a journey into self-help. I spent 10 days at a crazy intense workshop in Northern California that involved stripping away one's patterns of behaviour, sexual freedom and very challenging emotional self-reflection. In order to film, I had to fully participate in the workshop experience. This was one of the most challenging things I have ever done. But I think the results are funny, emotional and hopefully inspiring.
'The Workshop' was selected at the Tribeca Film Festival and won an award. The premiere at Times Square in NYC was one of the scariest moments of my life. Seeing myself blubbering and naked on the big screen in front of 500 critics and friends was challenging to say the least!
