The third in my feature film trilogy 'Journeyman' was about the search for freedom in America. When I was young and growing up London, California was the place I dreamt about. Jimmy Hendrix, psychedelia, freedom of the open road and of course, liberal politics. I wanted to see wether co-operate America had truly taken over or if the spirit of the 60's still lives. I ended up at Burning Man festival in Nevada desert where there is no money exchanged, no shops, no police, no nothing! You have to bring everything to the desert and create everything from scratch. One of the biggest cities in Nevada is built and dismantled within a week. I went alone in a truck with my 18 year old nephew Jerome as my assistant. Again, this was another awesome experience but also extremely challenging to make a film under such extreme circumstances.
