We take a closer look at the work of photographer, Jamie Morgan, collaborator on our festival film.
Jamie rose to fame in the 80s as a founding member of Buffalo, a London-based creative collective of photographers, stylists, make-up artists and musicians, whose pioneering visual style moved away from the high-glamour of mainstream glossy magazines. Among the first to present street style in their work, they cast everyday people, chosen for their distinct character and attitude.
"In all my fashion portrait images, I like to look for a narrative beyond just the clothes to suggest a story, an emotive encounter that might connect with the viewer. I want each image to stand alone and hopefully feel iconic in its symbolism," said Jamie on his work.
